Overview:
In
the not so distant future, man and woman know almost
nothing about each other. What little that exists is
told in half-truths, myths, and tall tales about the
evils of the opposite sex. All that changes, however,
when a group of all-female pirates captures the men
of an old but powerful warship, and the two groups must
now work together in order to solve the mystery of an
evil that threatens them all.
Some
Characters of Note:
Hibiki
Tokai: The main male protagonist, Hibiki at
first has a low opinion of himself. Raised as a
"third-class" citizen among the male populace,
he knows nothing about the ways of piloting the
giant "Vanguard" robots, let alone about
women. However, in his journeys with the ship Nirvana,
he will learn about his own self-worth as well as
those around him.

Dita
Liebely:
One of the Dread pilots of the Nirvana, Dita is
a trainee with little battle experience. A little
bit of an airhead, Dita always seems to have her
head in the clouds, especially where the "alien"
men are concerned. She has an intense interest in
the paranormal, and of Hibiki in particular, who
she has a little bit of an infatuation with. Dita
is also the first to experience the bonding of her
mecha with Hibiki's, as the Vanguard and the Dread
merge into more powerful machines.

Duero
McFile:
A first-class citizen among the male population,
Duero was a standout in the military and has many
skills. However, he is most well-known as a doctor
and a practitioner of medicine. Reserved, quiet,
and slightly arrogant, Duero is an essential part
of the Nirvana crew, and is able to learn quite
a bit about the differences between male and female
physiology in their journeys through space. Duero
has been known to help even enemies who are injured.

Meia
Gisborn: The team leader of the female Dread
pilots, Meia is not one to express very much in
the way of emotion or the kind of carefree happiness
that Dita exhibits. Deadly serious when it comes
to her work, Meia is highly effective in combat,
especially when leading the Dreads against the
enemy. She has a high sense of independance and
tends to refuse help even when she might need
it in order to get out of a troublesome situation.
However, she may need to learn to get over that
in order to survive the battles ahead.
