Some
Characters of Note:
Mima
Kirigoe: The main character of the story, the
beautiful and talented Mima has been a part of a
popular j-pop singing group for quite some time
now. However, Mima tires of her life and wants to
try something new by attempting to launch an actor's
career. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with
her decision to step out of the singing spotlight,
and one person in particular will turn out to be
the most "violently" opposed to Mima's
decisions, something which will haunt her whereever
she goes.

The
Fan:
A man with no discerned name, he works as a security
guard at a concert venue that Mima and her group
often play at. Enamored with Mima to the point of
obsession, he becomes more and more "expressive"
in his devotion to her, something which begins to
disturb Mima greatly during the course of the film.
While Mima has never really been aware of his presence,
this man is determined to make sure that when he
is finished with what he has to do, she will have
no choice but to follow the whim of his twisted
vision of her.
|
Rumi:
Mima's best friend, and a former idol singer to
boot, Rumi has had all kinds of experience in the
life of a j-pop singer. Constantly at Mima's side,
Rumi tries her best to steer Mima away from the
same sorts of mistakes that any idol singer might
make in a career transition. Though she is a little
bit opposed to Mima's decisions, she is nevertheless
a calming presence and a source of support for Mima
as her world begins to tumble deeper and deeper
into the craziness of a psychotic out to destroy
her.

|
Cham:
The j-pop group that Mima decides to leave and
retire from at the beginning of the film. Cham
has apparently become very successful and many
of their songs are hits on the chart. After Mima
leaves them, however, they begin to enjoy even
more success as a duo, despite initial doubts
that they would be able to endure without the
talents of their lead singer.
