Some
Characters of Note:
Gene
Starwind : Confident, highly skilled, and slightly
arrogant, Gene is an Outlaw who is in the business
for the love of adventure as well as a way to make
a quick buck or two. He's willing to take on just
about any job as a troubleshooter, be it big or
small. His eye for the women, however, is something
which definitely gets him in trouble on more than
one occasion. His job to protect Melfina, however,
will change his life.

Jim
Hawking :
Only 11 years old, Jim just happens to be Gene's
partner in the Outlaw business. Even though he is
at a very young age, he has already shown his resourcefulness
as an aspiring mechanic, and understands machinery
that even people twice his age know nothing about.
Jim is always trying to keep Gene out of trouble,
but is usually helplessly dragged along in many
of Gene's adventures and jobs.

Melfina
:
A seemingly naive and innocent girl, Melfina is
the one who hires Jim and Gene to take her on a
trip across space that will change their lives forever.
Although she does not know much about the outside
world, Melfina is determined to learn all she can.
In the course of the series, melfina falls in love
with Gene, and also develops a keen sense and desire
to learn cooking, something which is definitely
popular among the other members of the Outlaw group
she has hired.
