Overview:
Keiichi Morisato has always been a little bit down on his luck, ever since signing up for the Motor Club at his college - especially when it comes to women. However, that's all about to change as a misdialed call for pizza turns into a summons for a beautiful goddess to grant him any wish he desires. Keiichi decides to make his wish one that counts - by wishing the beautiful goddess Belldandy to stay with him forever - but even though his new potential girlfriend is literally "divine", his problems are far from over.

Keiichi Morisato: The main male character of the story, Keiichi is a suffering freshman in college who's always been down on his luck. But all of that changes when he misdials to order carryout and gets the goddess Belldandy instead! Keiichi makes his wish to keep Belldandy by his side forever, and now Keiichi struggles to keep Belldandy's powers a secret. Keiichi is a kind, strong-hearted individual who will do just about anything in order to protect Belldandy from any kind of harm.

Belldandy: The goddess who arrives from "the system" in order to help Keiichi with his problems. Belldandy shows up to help Keiichi by mistake, but she ends up making a "contract" with him that will keep them together forever. Belldandy is kind, sweet, nice, and soft-spoken, but when it comes to right or wrong, she is definitely one to defend herself and her beliefs. Belldandy is a Goddess First Class Unlimited, ranking her as one of the highest among her peers.

Urd: Belldandy's older sister is a voluptuous beauty who can distract enemies with looks and blow them away at the same time. Her mischevious and sometimes tricker nature is one that often gets her in trouble, not only Keiichi and the others, but also of "the system". As a result of her personality and her past misdeeds, she has been placed as a Goddess Second Class, Limited License, but she is still powerful. In her first appearance, she attempts to help Keiichi get further romantically with Belldandy.

Skuld : The youngest of the three goddesses, 12-year old Skuld is in many ways someone who surpasses her sisters. She is responsible for killing "bugs" in the system by whacking them with a large hammer that she carries. Skuld is a mechanical genius as well, and very dangerous when she gets an invention working. Skuld's one weakness is an extremely unsatisfied sweet tooth, and anything sweet, especially ice cream, is sure to placate Skuld regardless of what mood she's in.
