Overview:
Yukino Miyazawa has always been a model student. Envied by the girls, sought after by the boys, and loved by the teachers, Yukino has always been graceful and modest - or so it seems. In truth, Yukino is putting on a show, hiding her less delicate and prideful nature behind a facade of academic excellence and winning smiles. It's worked so far - but now Yukino has met her match in Soichiro Arima, a fellow classmate who may have more in common with her than her image. Now Yukino's position at the top of the class is threatened - but her encounters with Arima will change both of them, and her image, forever.

Some Characters of Note:

Yukino Miyazawa: Graceful, elegant, and talented, 15-year old Yukino has always been the best at what she does. On the surface, she modestly accepts the admiration of her fellow students, but inside, she lives for it, hiding what is most definitely a rougher, more embarrassing side to her. Yukino has never had any problems deceiving her classmates - but meeting the equally talented Soichiro Arima may change that very quickly.

Soichiro Arima: A recent transfer into Yukino's school, Arima has proven his worth to his classmates by being equal (and sometimes even better) than Yukino in academics and admiration level - something which threatens to topple Yukino from the number one spot in the class. Strangely enough, Arima acts kind towards Yukino despite her attempts to thwart him - but Arima may have much more in common with Yukino than even he may realize.

Hideaki Asaba: Arima's close friend and compatriot when it comes to stealing the hearts of the girls in the school. Asaba is a regular playboy-type who has an outgoing, confident personality that attracts the females (though Yukino is fairly unimpressed). At first, he despises Yukino for her association with Arima and attempts to drive her away from him, but eventually gives in upon seeing them together. He becomes one of their most steadfast friends, and talks to both Yukino and Arima about their problems.

Tsubasa Shibahime: An old classmate of Arima's while he was in Junior High, Tsubasa has always had a crush on him, although Arima is completely oblivious to it and continues to treat her like a little sister. Tsubasa is a very active and stubborn girl, and will dig in her heels, given a change to give up herway of thinking. Like Asaba, she hates Yukino at first, but comes to like and depend on her for support.
