Overview:
College
student Kazuya Saotome has always had dreams of building
a "doraemon", or robot for himself. So far,
however, he's only been able to make headway with a
squid-shaped machine, and he's nowhere close to making
a humanoid. However, luck (or chaos) may shine on Kazuya
when he is delivered a hand-sized "Cyber Doll"
named May that is designed to do the housework and common
tasks. But May is definitely different, and when her
unique abilities manifest themselves, it's the beginning
of some hectic and crazy hijinx for Kazuya and his friends.
Some
Characters of Note:
Kazuya
Saotome: A college student majoring in Electrical
Engineering, Kazuya has always been somewhat introverted
and shy. However, he has a great mind and interest
for mechanics, especially those of artificial life
forms. Kazuya's dream is to be able to create his
own "doraemon", or robot, but he hasn't
had much success as of yet aside from his squid-shaped
robot Ikariya. However the accidental delivery of
Cyber Doll May to his doorstep will change his opinion
not only of robots but also of people as well.

Cyber
Doll May:
Cheerful, hard-working, and advanced, the title
character of the series becomes a very important
part of Kazuya's life. Originally, however, she
wasn't even supposed to arrive on Kazuya's doorstep,
but a slight online ordering mishap has brought
her to Kazuya. While May is like other hand-sized
cyber dolls her size, she also possesses the unique
feature of being able to experience real emotion,
something that was placed in her OS. May and Kazuya
hit it off fairly well, and it is even hinted at
that their meeting was not entirely an accident.

Kasumi
Tani:
Kazuya's next door neighbor, Kasumi and Kazuya have
known each other ever since Kazuya moved into his
apartment. With a ladder to connect the two windows
and balconies of their rooms, Kasumi is able to
drop by at any time, even if it's not quite the
right time for Kazuya. Kasumi is also the daughter
of the landlord of the apartment complex, and as
such, helps out by helping to collect the rent every
month. Kasumi hides a crush on Kazuya, but for some
reason, Kazuya seems completely unaware of her feelings.

Cyber
Doll Lena: Another Cyber Doll made to look
like a young girl, Lena is a model different from
May. Lena uses her cute and innocent look in order
to get what she wants, but she is very likeable
and has a good personality. She creates a sort
of bond with Kazuya's robot Ikariya, and the two
are rarely seen apart from each other. Lena also
serves another purpose in the apartment complex
by helping Kasumi collect the rent from late-paying
tenants, of which the poor Kazuya is one.
