Overview:
In London, a special shadow agency is in place to deal with the dark threat of vampires that plagues the earth. The Hellsing Agency is dedicated by eliminating this threat by any means necessary - even if it means using a vampire to do it. A "true vampire", Alucard serves the Hellsing Agency for unknown reasons - but those may come to light when he meets and takes in a young apprentice named Celes Victoria, who he makes into a half-vampire. Now Celes must deal with her new "unlife" as well as unravel the mystery of Alucard, the vampires, and the Hellsing Agency.

Some Characters of Note:

Seras Victoria: Innocent of the existence of vampires, Seras Victoria was once part of a police squad that was sent to investigate the mysterious deaths of several people in a village. However, all of her team members were killed and she herself barely survived. Saved by the vampire Alucard, she chooses to become a half-vampire and become part of the Hellsing Agency. Seras must deal with her new powers (and limitations) as she seeks to investigate the truth.

Alucard: A "true vampire", Alucard works for the Hellsing Agency in its "Trash-Cleaning" division. Alucard is obviously a very powerful vampire, and can exhibit many abilities, but the reason why he is working for the Hellsing Agency remains unclear. Aside from his normal abilities, he also possesses a gun made by the Hellsing Agency that fires special silver bullets made from a holy cross. that explode inside the target once they hit.

Integral Wingates Hellsing: The descendant of the Hellsing family, who have dedicated their lives to vampire hunting, Integral has founded the Hellsing Agency in London in order to further the cause of the destruction of vampires from the earth. Integral's unspoken and complicated arrangement with the vampire Alucard remains a mystery, although the Hellsing Agency is able to operate under the authority of the English monarchy and utilize many more resources than Alucard and his new ward.

Alexander Anderson: A priest who works for the Esciliote Agency, the Catholic equivalent to the Hellsing Agency based out of the Vatican in Rome, Alexander is more dangerous than he seems. He possesses great skill with the short swords and other holy abilities, but his most useful ability by far is being a "regenerator" - able to recover from wounds that would easily kill any normal human being. Alexander and Alucard come into conflict several times due to who they work for.
