Overview:
In
the beginning of the 21st century, a Massively Multiplayer
Online Role Plaing Game (or MMORPG for short) called
"The World" has taken the gaming community
by storm. Hugely popular, "The World" allows
players to physically and mentally immerse themselves
in a realm of sword and sorcery, enabling them to escape
from reality. Everything has been normal up until now
- but when one player unlocks what could be an unintended
occurrence in the game, the whole idea of "The
World" could be turned upside down.
Some
Characters of Note:
Tsukasa:
A sorcerer in "The World", Tsukasa
is a player who has stumbled upon something that
may impact the entire game. Stoic and even a little
cold on the outside, Tsukasa is troubled by his
discovery, and especially by his inability to "log
out" of the game and return to the real world.
However, with a mysterious force on his side, Tsukasa
is determined to find out what is really going on
with "The World" as well as solve his
problems, even though those in "The World"
responsible for keeping order want to capture him
for unknown purposes.
|
Mimiru:
Mimiru is a warrior in "The World", and
her skill was so good that she once worked with
the "Crimson Knights", an organization
dedicated to preserving order in the game world.
Now, however, she has struck out on her own as a
solo player, and in her travels encounters Tsukasa,
whose cold and unfeeling attitude towards her both
angers and intrigues her at the same time. A person
with a tough exterior but a kind heart, Mimiru also
desires to help Tsukasa solve his problem and unlock
the mystery of "The World".
|
Bear:
Like
Mimiru, Bear is also a warrior, and a powerful one
at that. His skill with the sword is almost unmatched,
and even though he has a seemingly carefree, laid-back
attitude, Bear is willing to help even new players
get a hand on the mechanics of playing "The
World". Bear and Mimiru know each other, and
when Mimiru describes her strange encounter with
the enigmatic Tsukasa to him, Bear resolves to help
her and Tsukasa find out about what is really going
on in "The World", something which may
be bigger than even he may realize.

"Neko"/Maho:
A complete mystery, this "Neko" (cat)
Player Character (PC) is wanted by the Crimson
Knights for reasons unknown. It appears, however,
that Neko, and those who he/she may work for have
a vested interest in Tsukasa, and have singled
him out for some reason to be the one to realize
their objectives. Neko encountered Tsukasa and
ever since that time, Tsukasa has been unable
to log out of the system, something which only
Neko may know how to solve for him.
