"There are many series in the Gundam Universe but
only very few have made it to the U.S. Recently Gundam
Wing was aired on Cartoon Network and thought it may
not take place in the U.C ( Universal Century) time
line it still contains the ingredients that make up
Gundam: Great Characters, Great Mecha, and one heck
of a story! "

"It's not a strange thought that the mainsteam
of a specific medium - take rock and its various subgenres
for example - can portray an image drastically different
from the more vague and different subgenres or more
enjoyable aspects of that medium. The same concept can
be applied to anime, and as an example the over-popular
Gundam Wing. As usual with a widely accepted mainstream
anime, this particular branch of the mecha titanic Gundam
saga is overrated, over-watched, underwritten, and not
worth the 0.5 hours * 49 episodes that accompany it."
