"The action genre. A genre popular in every medium, including anime. Gunsmith Cats, a short, three-part seires, is one of the anime best depicting this style. One could also say it adheres somewhat to the detective genre, but the flashy explosions, car chases (in an anime!), and gun fights, as well as the lack of a detailed plot, plant this anime in the action zone..."

"If you're looking for a light, entertaining way to pass an hour and a half with some action, Gunsmith Cats is an excellent choice. Based on the characters by K. Sonoda (Bubblegum Crisis 2032), the anime affords us a brief glance into the lives of Rally Vincent and Minnie May Hopkins, in which is often the case, barely scratches the surface of the material originally written in the manga. Nonetheless, the anime puts forth an admirable effort, in three half hour episodes that tie together and conclude fairly neatly ..."
