Overview:
The
energetic and devoted Excel, along with her partner
Hyatt and "emergency food source" Menchi,
are out to do their best for the evil organization Across
and their leader, Ilparrattzo. Unfortunately, something
always seems to go wrong, especially when assignments
such as killing your own manga artist seem like perfectly
reasonable requests. With things such as a tortured migrant
worker, a partner that coughs up blood every few minutes,
and an evil mastermind who spends his spare time learning
Japanese punk rock and playing video games, Excel is
in the middle of one chaotic world!
Some
Characters of Note:
Excel
: The protagonist of the series, Excel is completely
devoted to the evil organization of Across, and
especially of "Master" Ilparratzo, who
she is completely in love with. Excel's continuously
cheery nature in carrying out the evil work of her
master is only matched by her tendancy to disregard
reality and the danger of her job. In fact, with
Excel on the job, it's the people around her that
need to be more afraid than her.
|
Hyatt:
Beautiful, shy, and soft-spoken, Hyatt was sent
from another planet in order to serve the evil organization
Across. Ilparattzo shows a definite bias (and a
romantic interest) towards Hyatt, of which she is
totally oblivious. Hyatt tends to do a good job
of keeping Excel out of relative danger - that is,
when her weak constitution doesn't kick in. Because
of her weakness, Hyatt is susceptible to fainting
spells and coughing up blood every few minutes or
even seconds.
|
Ilparratzo:
The evil mastermind of the Across organization,
Ilparratzo is loved by Excel, who he finds incredibly
annoying to the point of killing her when he feels
like it. He's also relatively ignored by Hyatt,
who has no idea of his affections towards her. Ilparratzo
is determined to take over the world (starting small
with Japan, of course) and "cleanse" it
of its supposed corruption through his rule. To
this end, he assigns tasks to Excel and Hyatt that
almost always turn out the wrong way.

Menchi:
The unfortunate pet of Excel, who happens to find
him one day in the street. In an unlucky turn
of events, Excel happened to be starving at the
time, so she immediately chased and captured Menchi
against his will and designated him her "emergency
food source", to be cooked when she has nothing
else to eat. Menchi thus lives in dread of the
day when Excel makes "use" of her pet,
and attempts to escape her clutches on many opportunities.
