Evangelion, a true delight to the senses.

Although the series may seem to start as an action-oriented mecha anime, it slowly morphs into a drama filled with conspiracy.

The characters all have a past, each slowly revealed throughout the series. The unknowing viewer is thrown back and forth, watching their favorite characters get tossed around, built back up, only to be torn down again.

All too often a series will give the viewer what they want. Evangelion is full of so many twists and turns that the viewer is always on their toes, reaching many climaxes which either leave the unsuspecting viewer in tears of joy that their favorite character triumphed, or tears of sadness at what happened to their favorite character moments later.

The degree to which Evangelion is able to evoke emotion is matched by none. The complexity of the plot is both refreshing and leaves the viewer dying to see more. All of these elements, combined with breathtaking animation, makes Neon Genesis Evangelion a must see.
