Some
Characters of Note:
Mayumi
Kino : A Mini-Sub pilot on No. 6, Mayumi is
a distinguished officer with an impeccable record.
Her parents were killed by Zorndyke in the great
flood that hit the earth, and it is this which drives
her motivation to fight. She is charged with bringing
back Tetsu Hayami back to No. 6, but soon finds
that he is a lot more to handle than she first thinks.
Though they fight most of the time, Mayumi and Tetsu
soon develop a close relationship.

Tetsu
Hayami :
One of the best Mini-Sub pilots around, Tetsu was
once a part of the Blue Submarine fleet but left.
While he is very talented, Tetsu tends to act on
his own and is far from following orders if they
interfere with how he feels the job should be done.
He is resistant to rejoining the Blue Sub fleet
and also to Mayumi's attempts to keep him in line.
He is also curious about the nature of the enemy,
as well as the machinery and devices they are using
in order to fight the Blue fleet. Because of this,
he is in constant conflict with Mayumi.

Mutio
:
A genetically engineered creature created by Zorndyke,
Mutio is designated as an Attack Spider Pilot, dedicated
to bringing down the Blue fleet, especially the
flagship No. 6. However, in her first run-in with
Tetsu, she is shot down and removed from the water.
Instead of killin gher, however, Tetsu takes mercy
on her and lets her return to the water, something
which puzzles and intrigues Mutio. The two form
a close bond over the course of the series.
