Overview:
In
the not-so-distant future, mankind has mastered the
path to artificial intelligence, going so far as to
create a race of androids called "Thirds"
- completely superior to their predecessors and able
to blend in to human society through their emotional
abilities. Naomi Armitage is one such "Third",
and when a deranged mystery killer begins destroying
all the Thirds, Armitage fears for her life, even to
the point of teaming up with a fellow cop who bears
a grudge against androids and robots.
Some
Characters of Note:

|
 |
Naomi
Armitage : Anti-social and hardened due to
her raising in a society that disdains robots,
Armitage chose the career of a cop due to her
excellent skills and talents. These come from
in part of her being part of a secret project
to create the ultimate killing machines, the Assassinroids.
When the Third murders start, Armitage begins
fearing for her own safety.
|
 |
|
Ross
Syllabus :
Ross was a cop from the Chicago Police Department
who was excellent at his job. However, he has
a deep-seeded dislike of robots following an incident
where his partner was killed by one and he was
permanently mained, forcing him to get an artificial
leg. Also assigned to the Third murders, he is
forced to work with Armitage in order to solve
them.
|
 |
|
Rene
D'anclaude :
Originally one of the scientists involved in the
Assassinroid projects involving the Thirds, Rene
has since gone off the deep end for unknown reasons
and is attempting to kill Thirds. Why he is after
Armitage even more than the others is a mystery.
|
 |
|
Julian
"Pluto" Moore: Another Third, but
an oddity in the sense that he is male (most of
the Thirds are female). However, this does not make
him any less of a Third, and like the others, is
innovative and talented at a number of things. |
