Reviews

Frank AvatarThe anime industry has always been one which, outside of Japan, has not been widely integrated into the mainstream cultures of other countries (most especially in the USA). While anime continues to make progress into the homes of more and more people, it still remains a very fan-driven genre. Ever wanted to get your (favorable or unfavorable) opinion known about a particular series, rant about horrible dubbing and special effects, or rave about how incredible "that one episode" was? You've come to the right place. We accept reviews of series, and series episodes, and post the best here. Find out the opinions of your fellow fans, or post your own! Just follow the guidelines below.

Reviews Submission Rules

Submission Guidelines

-All Reviews MUST be sent to review@animeinfo.org or can be submitted via the online review form.

-Reviews must not exceed 600 words. This is to save space on the server as well as constrain folks to giving reviews that are concise and to the point ^_- Exceptions will be made in very rare instances.

-On the flip side, Reviews should also not be too short. A few short paragraphs or reviews with almost no real content at all will be rejected. The point of having reviews up is to have other people see what you've reviewed, and perhaps see it for themselves. If they can't glean any useful info from a review, they won't want to see the anime. So be concise, but thorough!

-Reviews should NOT contain major spoilers of any kind. If you must have spoilers, the review must be clearly marked as such at the beginning - but we much prefer if there are none.

-Reviews should not attempt to be written in response to another review on the site. Present your own viewpoint - do not try to detract from another's. On that note, harassment of reviewers through their contact information, merely for their point of view and opinion, will not be tolerated.

-If emailed, subject line format must be as follows:
[Review] Series Name, General or Series episode (if applicable if doing specific episodic review)
So for example: [Review] Ranma 1/2, The Harder They Fall or, if it is a general review of Ranma 1/2, then: [Review] Ranma 1/2, General. Emailed Reviews must also follow the
review form ratings (click link for details).

-Parodic or otherwise insincere reviews will not be accepted, in order to preserve a good, solid, and truthful opinion about the series to persons who are potentially wanting to take a look at it.

-Reviews are subject to editing for content, length, or other reasons, by the site owners.

-Not all reviews will be selected for posting, due to logistic and administrative reasons. We will be choosing the best, creative, and most well-thought-out reviews from those submitted to be placed onto the site, so be articulate! ^_^
