Profile: Gendo is a traveling monk who tells the future in return for lodging for the night. An old friend of Sasuke's, he shows up at the door of the Kunou's home to give his "guidance". In return for freeloading off of them, Gendo tells Kunou that the next girlt o cross the bridge the next day would be his destined bride. The girl who walks across the bridge is none other than Nabiki Tendo, however, and much craziness follows with Kunou now having three loves instead of two. It does, however, turn out to be a hoax, as Gendo is a false practitioner of fortune-telling.

Personality: Gendo seems to be gentle at first, but later is found to be always asking for food. His swindling future-telling skills are played off very well by him, and though he claims it is the kind of wood used in the fire fortune-telling which proves his fortunes wrong, it is most likely that he is not a true practitioner of the fortune-telling arts.
