The
Roar of Heaven:
Ryouga wanders in to find Akane with her clothes torn
and the still-weakened Ranma without his shirt on, and
makes the conclusion that Ranma forced himself on Akane.
The resulting battle aura coming from Ryouga as a result
almost knocks over the pig-tailed martial artist, and
Cologne now sees that Ryouga is no longer holding back
his full power. Ranma intends to use Ryouga's extreme
anger to fuel the power for the incredible "Hiryu
Shoten Ha", or "Heaven Blast of the Dragon"
technique. It's too bad that Cologne forgot to teach
Ranma the final step in the dreaded technique! Ranma
is left to fend for himself against the raging Ryouga,
and now must figure out the final move before he's killed...
The Great Rematch: Having finally learned the
"Hiryu Shoten Ha", Ranma is now ready to face
Happosai. Cologne reveals that the true secret of the
technique is that is uses temperature differences -
the heat of the opponent's aura and the cold of the
user's - to create a tornado much like an ascending
dragon. Ranma and the training party now leave the moxibustion
mountain in order to seek Happosai, who had first placed
Ranma into his weakened state. Armed with his new technique,
Ranma ambushes Happosai on one of his panty raids, ruining
his spoils for the day. An angry Happosai now begins
to fuel his anger, and Ranma gets ready to use his new
technique, in a fight in which Ranma's strength is at
stake...
St. Happosai: Happosai angrily attacks Ranma,
and it looks like the old man is finally playing into
his hands. However, at the last moment, Happosai pulls
back, refusing to attack Ranma. Upon further questioning,
it is found that Happosai already knows the secret of
the dreaded "Hiryu Shoten Ha", a result of
it being used on him by Cologne while they were both
young. Now Happosai resolves not to use his battle aura
against Ranma, essentially making Ranma's attack useless.
Despite Ranma's best attempts to anger the elder martial
artist (including burning his entire underwear collection)
Happosai does not budge an inch. Despondent, Ranma runs
out of ideas..until he figures out a surefire way to
bring out Happosai's aura...
Burn, Happy, Burn: Ranma challenges a calm Happosai
to a final duel, and this time Ranma decides to bring
out the heat of Happosai's aura by showing him pictures
of his girl-form dressed in lingerie, a step that would
not have been taken had Ranma not learned how to take
humiliation during his training. The trick works, and
Happosai's "lust-aura" fills the battlefield
with unprecedented engery. Unfortunately, Mousse, Kunou,
and the Principal decide to attack Ranma at this time
as well. Still angry over being ganged up on earlier
when he was defenseless, Ranma unleashes the Hiryu Shoten
Ha on all four of his opponents. However, he finds out
soon after that Akane was accidentally caught up in
the twister...
The Paper Chase: Akane had gotten caught in the
Hiryu Shoten Ha twister in order to get the moxibustion
map which had fallen off of Happosai during the battle.
This map, when utilized was the key to getting Ranma's
full strength back. A horrified Ranma jumps into the
tornado to save the spinning Akane, who is quickly running
out of air. At the last moment, Ranma is able to get
to and save Akane, but not before the map blows away
into pieces. Briefly depressed over his loss, Ranma
resolves to at least save Akane, as the two plummet
to the ground below from high above...
Ranma Reborn: Ranma ane Akane appear to be falling
to a fatal end, until Happosai unwllingly saves them
with a Happo Daikarin which buoys their falls and slow
it down. However, a flying Happosai manages to catch
them a few feet from the ground, running all of them
into the fence surrounding the battle area. The group
hits the ground safely, but the map is now all in pieces.
When assembled, the map is missing an essential piece
which is the key to recovering Ranma's strength. A despairing
Ranma runs off, resolving to train to get his strength
back, and Akane offers to go with him to carry his stuff.
Howeer, at the last moment, Cologne is able to perform
the moxibustion required to lift the weakness, the final
piece having been found on Happosai. A rejoicing Ranma,
his strength finally restored, happily destroys anyone
and anything in his path for the next couple of weeks...
Who Will Bell the Cat?: Shampoo returns from
China, having brought with her a legendary bell for
Ranma. Wearing a bell herself, she points out that whoever
has the two bells between them is destined to be a couple.
However, this assumption turns out to be dreadfully
wrong as the spirit of a giant ghost cat turns out to
be imbedded into the bell! Ranma's extreme fear is evident
as he wildly strikes the cat, who cries easily over
its wounds. Having been spurned by Shampoo, who according
to the Ghost Cat was to be her bride because of the
bell she wears, the Ghost Cat angrily resolves to come
back and duel Ranma for her, much to the ailurophobic
Ranma's horror...
Kitty Takes a Bride: A horrified Ranma now has
to face the Ghost Cat in a duel. Luckily for him the
Cat makes the mistake of taking over Genma's body, giving
Ranma the ability to attack the Ghost Cat without being
afraid of it. During the battle, Ranma hurts SHampoo's
feelings, and in a fit of anger, SHampoo throws Ranma
into the koi pond. The Ghost Cat, seeing a "new
bride", attacks the doubly horrified female Ranma,
causing her to release the latent "Cat-Fist"
inside her. Badly bruised and beaten by the feline-like
Onna-Ranma, the Ghost Cat leaves, defeated. The next
day sees the Ghost Cat at Furinkan High, offering little
bells to high school girls...
Swim Like a Hammer: Akane is depressed over not
being able to swim a stroke, and so the Principal, of
all people, offers to train her. The Principal subjects
Akane to a brutal swimming test of deadly proportions
- with a boulder strapped to her back, Akane must out
swim a shark. The Principal, however, is the one to
be knocked into the water, and Akane jumps in to save
him. However, Akane's "hammer" like swimming
gets her nowhere, and Ranma has to jump in at the last
minute to save Akane from the shark. Akane resolves
to face the second of the Principal's test, much to
his glee and Ranma's protests.
Courage Under Water: Akane faces a number of
schemes by the Principal in order to get her to swim,
including dressing her in swan and mermaid suits. However,
Akane fails to learnt o swim,a nd is about to depart
when Ranma jumps in front of her, encouraging her to
continue. The rest of the crowd present, including the
principal show their agreement, and Akane consents to
try one more time. But it turns out that the "hammer
girl" Akane cannot even swim with a life preserver
in place...
Step Outside: Genma turns up missing during a
training trip of his and Ranma's, and now a worried
Ranma goes to look for him. Unfortunately, he finds
Genma (in panda form) in a very lazy situation, far
from the tenets of training that Genma had told Ranma
about. It appears that the wealthy woman of a house
found Genma-panda and tried to use him to get her "sickly"
son Yotaro to go out and play. But Genma-panda has ended
up just as lazy as the son and has ended up lounging
around the house freeloading all week. An angry Ranma
tries to take Genma away but then is obligated to help
the little Yotaro go outside. However, the boy proves
unwilling to go outside, despite Ranma's best forceful
efforts, and makes the conclusion that the boy is lazy
rather than sickly. Dragging enma-panda with him, Ranma
runs away from the house followed by Yotaro, who has
finally went outside in order to try and take back his
pet "Kumihachi". Yotaro's mother is overjoyed,
but Ranma ends up exhausted after running all the way
from the beach to the Tendo dojo, the boy in following
him all the way there without getting tired...
