Session
1: Asteroid Blues
Meet the crew of the Bebop, bounty hunters Spike Spiegel
and Jet Black as they spend some time in Tijuana chasing
down a drug dealer on the run from the crime syndicates.
Why is this person on the run? He's stolen their most
profitable and potent narcotic, and furthermore, he
uses it to make himself virtually invincible. Spike
tracks him down with the help of a mysterious beauty,
but the syndicates could end up taking the perp out
before Spike can collect his reward.
Session
2: Stray Dog Strut
An attractive bounty rears it' afro-ed head in the
form of a serial pet thief. After getting some plastic
surgery to hide in plain sight, he proceeds to steal
something valuable from research lab. Spike and Jet
set out to nap the criminal, but it seems the people
at the lab are more eager to keep their prize possession
from being discovered. When the suitcase is opened,
all seem surprised that it's a...dog? Nevertheless,
this canine is smarter than it seems, and it certainly
doesn't like the idea of being pooch-napped!
Session
3: Honky Tonk Women
When you're down to your last scraps of cash and there
are no bounty-heads to chase, your only chance for
survival could be the casino. For Spike and Jet, it
just could be the death of them, as Spike unwittingly
stumbles into a very high stakes game of blackjack
with an enticing dealer named Faye Valentine. Things
don't always go as planned, it seems, and now Spike
and Jet must make a deal with Faye's employer that
could fill their coffers or fill their coffins. If
only that lovely dealer weren't so much trouble...even
the dog, Ein, doesn't trust her!
Session
4: Gateway Shuffle
You have your subdued environmental protests, you
have your non-violent environmental protests, and
then you have your all out psycho-lets-punish-humanity-by-de-evolving-them
environmental protests. The Ganymede government certainly
doesn't want things to go in the latter direction,
but they may have no choice. Thanks to Jet's keen
eye, the Bebop has a passenger worth a hefty sum,
but if she isn't released, the entire satellite of
Ganymede is at stake. If that weren't enough, that
meddling Faye returns to annoy the boys once more.
Session
5: Ballad of Fallen Angels
With Faye taking up residence on the Bebop (uninvited),
Spike and Jet have to be a little more cautious with
the information they leave lying around. Spike takes
a solo assignment that seems to have personal ties,
but the chase becomes even more risky when Faye's
intrusiveness and greed get the better of her. There's
no bounty to be had, and Jet wants no part of it,
so it's Spike versus an entire crime syndicate with
Faye's life on the line. But precisely who is Vicious,
and why is he luring Spike back to Mars by kidnapping
Faye?
Session
6: Sympathy for the Devil
A jam session in a blues bar puts Spike and Jet in
line for a decent reward, but when their bounty-head
ends up sailing from a high rise with a few bullet
holes in his chest, the crew of the Bebop is left
with a strange mystery to solve. Was their bounty-head
the true criminal, or was there some other force at
work? Surprisingly, the answers lie with a child who
is skilled with a harmonica and a handgun. If the
crew of the Bebop can gain any knowledge from this
showdown, it's that appearances are very deceiving.
Session
7: Heavy Metal Queen
Spike and Faye get to live hang out with the big rigs
as they chase down a truck driver with a stolen cargo.
The hunt might be going a little better if they didn't
manage to mangle their ships during the pursuit. With
Jet up to his elbows in repairs, Spike and Faye must
enlist the help of a tough truck by the name of VT.
There's only one small problem with VT - she hates
bounty hunters. They have no choice but to work together,
however, when the three of them get caught inside
a mining asteroid with their bounty and his cargo...highly
unstable explosives!
Session
8: Waltz for Venus
The wrong flight for a guy named Rocco is the right
flight for the Bebop crew as they pick up a set of
hijackers. Rocco sees Spike in action, and now he
wants to learn hand-to-hand from the bounty hunter.
Spike is reluctant to teach him, but gets drawn in
further when Rocco is chased by gunman, and leaves
a special plant with him. Spike and company discover
that the plant is worth millions, which is why Rocco
is being hunted. The question is which is worth more:
Rocco's bounty, the plant, or Rocco's reasoning for
taking it?
Session
9: Jamming With Edward
When an artificial Earth satellite goes on the fritz
and begins carving various images onto the Earth,
the authorities assume the worst and blame a hacker
by the name of Radical Edward. Since they'd been chasing
Edward anyways, a nice bounty increases the man power
hunting the hacker down. But Edward may not really
be the cause, since the whiz kid has decided to help
the crew of the Bebop find the real culprit...as long
as Ed gets a favor in the end.
Session
10: Ganymede Elegy
With a bounty in tow, the Bebop docks at Ganymede,
Jet's home satellite. It's not long at all before
his curiosity gets the better of him, and he decides
to pay a quick visit to his past. Some information
from an old buddy points him to his ex-girlfriend,
Elisa, who had left him years ago. When Jet catches
up with her, they share kind words, but the memories
aren't necessarily so kind. Jet is pushed even further
when Spike catches a lead on a hot bounty...Elisa's
new boyfriend.
Session
11: Toys in the Attic
Any day is good for a lesson or two; on this particular
day, the crew of the Bebop each have a lesson of their
own to teach. They may even learn a lesson, as the
listless boredom that accompanies dry spells sets
in. But even in this no so peaceful quiet, a hidden
danger lurks in the shadows, refusing to be seen or
captured. One by one, the crew members fall prey to
the invisible invader
will anyone survive to
learn from this particular lesson?
Session
12: Jupiter Jazz, pt.I
The crew of the Bebop awaken to find Faye gone, and
in her place, an emptied out safe and a note explaining
her desertion. When Ed goes net-diving to find where
she escaped to, only one clue is revealed: the name
'Julia.' The revelation seems to mean something to
Spike, who decides to chase down the clue for his
own reasons, rather than helping Jet find Faye and
reclaim their money. Faye, on the other hand, has
found her way to a city full of fugitives on Titan,
where she makes the acquaintance of a kind, but mysterious
musician. When it's discovered that he has ties to
Vicious, she attempts to escape, only to be taken
hostage once again. Another showdown between Spike
and Vicious occurs, and ends unexpectedly.
Session
13: Jupiter Jazz, pt.II
Vicious and Linn, his bodyguard, put the confrontation
aside and continue with their plans to meet with Faye's
new friend. Jet manages to find clues not only to
where Faye is, but to who Julia was. In the meantime,
he discovers that Faye's captor is a wanted man, and
doubles his efforts. He finds Faye alone, however,
and quite subdued. With his primary goal achieved,
he leaves the rest to Spike, who is out to find Vicious,
all the while haunted by Julia.
