AnimeInfo.org is a non-profit, fan-run, fan-contributed site dedicated to the spread and presentation of information about Japanese animation and manga. As such, all monetary profits made from the site (from Merchandising sections and other present and future monetary projects) go to the funding and continued upkeep of the site. The pages on AnimeInfo.org present, in almost all cases, originally produced text pertaining to its mission as stated above. Where applicable, AnimeInfo.org's site owners have secured permission to use other copyrighted textual material on the site and have made proper citations as to its ownership (please email the owners if you are the exclusive owner of copyrighted textual material and we have not given you credit, so we may do so). AnimeInfo.org is not affiliated in any way with any commercial companies that are associated with the distribution, promotion, or sale of Japanese animation (with the exception of affiliate programs presented by such companies to all Japanese animation websites) and as such, is not obligated in any way to be biased towards particular companies or commercial organizations. Any such biases noted on the site by its owners are the result of personal opinion (though AnimeInfo.org's owners strive to be primarily objective) and not from commercial affiliation.

Copyright Notes

The AnimeInfo.org site, all of its original pages, and originally created multimedia is the copyright of site owners Frank Sanchez and "Asuka" (with the exception of fan contributions, which are copyrighted to their respective owners), and is, under the terms of the Berne copyright convention, copyrighted regardless of notice. Under the "Fair Use" amendment of US copyright law, any short excerpted (not full text) use of information presented on AnimeInfo.org must either have been secured for permission to post from its owners, or properly cited back to AnimeInfo.org. Use of originally composed text, pages, or site-exclusive multimedia on any part of the site without proper permission and citation from this site's owners will be considered as copyright infringement and will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law if violators refuse to remove material in question or do not cite credit to AnimeInfo.org to the satisfaction of its owners. All of the Japanese animation presented in the AnimeInfo.org site is the copyright of their respective owners or commercial licensees, and is cited or referred to as such where applicable.Fan contributions, which include, among other things, reviews, fanart, fanfiction, cookbook contributions, and Anime University classes, are copyright of their owners and have been willingly given to AnimeInfo.org in order to promote its mission and augment its information. All materials are used to further the promotion of the Japanese animation medium and the mission of AnimeInfo.org, and not for personal profit or gain.

Opinions Given

The opinions, expressions, and contributions of the fans who submit to relevant sections (fanart, reviews, fanfiction, message boards etc.) of the site are not necessarily the opinions or expressions of the owners of AnimeInfo.org. AnimeInfo.org's owners do not officially endorse any opinion, positive or negative, given by any person contributing to relevant sections. In contributing to relevant sections of the site, these person or persons realize that they indemnify the site and its owners of any legal action taken as a result of their expressions. AnimeInfo.org's owners screen all contributions to the best of their ability for offensive, vulgar, or otherwise inappropriate material for public consumption and reserve the right to refuse or edit fan contributions that are deemed inappropriate.

Multimedia

AnimeInfo.org grants public domain only to those multimedia elements of the site that it can deem as public domain, or to multimedia on the site granted by other owners or originators as public domain. All site-exclusive multimedia (including original site images or icons, among other relevant items) is the copyright of AnimeInfo.org and its owners and is not to be used on other sites without permission. AnimeInfo.org supports the commercial distribution of Japanese animation multimedia, and therefore does not feature distribution of, for example, full music, episodes, or other such items. AnimeInfo.org and its owners hope to promote the purchase of Japanese animation materials from commercial distributors via public viewing of the site and use of its resources.
